Sunset Nest Visits… Jackie and Shadow have stopped by the nest at sunset the past two nights to enjoy a little bonding time. Two nights ago, Jackie arrived first and waited for Shadow to join her. She gave him a little shout out from the back porch and he raced over from the Cactus Snag. Before retreating for the night, they stood together, soaking in the quietness of the evening. A pair of ravens breached the nest of Big Bear eagles Jackie and Shadow, nonprofit Friends of Big Bear Valley confirmed. Sadly, the eggs are not expected to hatch. Eagle-eyed viewers observing the nest-close camera spied a crack in one of them prior to the ravens arriving.
